Testimony: A public declaration of what God has brought you through

The Purpose

The purpose of this blog page is to inspire others with Godly testimonies of what God has brought them through. I hope these testimonies touch your heart as they have mine and draw you closer in your walk with God.

Why Share Your Testimony?

Revelation 12:11 states that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. We OVERCOME. I don’t know about you, but I love being able to overcome the obstacles in life by trusting in Jesus and letting the world go by. Often times this is easier said than done. We all go through trials and tests, but if we stay trusting the Lord, He will pull us through. He can turn our tests into beautiful testimonies of His faithfulness and love.

By sharing your testimony, you can encourage others. If Jesus turned your tests into testimonies, he can do it for others too! If you share what Jesus has done in your life, you can bring hope and a light to others that need to allow him into their lives too. You never know when your words can be the encouragement others needed to turn their lives to Jesus.  There could also be another Christian out there who shared a similar struggle and your testimony showed they weren’t alone and to keep holding on!

You might think, “I don’t have a testimony.” I would have to beg to differ. Whether your life was filled with high highs or low lows, or if you feel you haven’t experienced much in life, you have a testimony. Maybe you lived your whole life in church and close to the Lord. You can give a testimony of faithfulness. Maybe you lived your life in the world and God brought you through it. You can give a testimony of restoration. If you still think you don’t have a testimony, you can always thank Jesus for dying on that cross for us when He didn’t have to! What a testimony that is that He died to save us!

Cait's Testimony

Through the Fire

It was a rainy day in September of 2009 when my house burned down. I can remember it like it was yesterday. It was early in the morning when I woke up out of a deep sleep. Everything looked a little fuzzy. I often slept in my contacts, so I thought they were clouded. It wasn’t until I walked over to the top of the steps and looked down that I saw the heavy clouds of smoke. Fear consumed me and the first thing I thought about was how my window often jammed. I wasn’t sure if I could climb out of it and going down the steps didn’t seem like a great option. I quickly ran to the window and by the grace of God it opened right away. Up until that point, I was running on adrenaline. Once I realized I could get out, I tried to yell, “Fire!” to my family. My dad and brothers were downstairs. My mom wasn’t home at that moment because she was working night shift at the local hospital.
